MAHHUSHE AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL GETS AN ARM INJECTION

The Rhandza Xikolo Xa Wena Campaign at Mahhushe Agricultural Secondary School, Mzinti, Nkomazi Local Municipality was a great success. It was held in partnership with the Matsamo Traditional Council, led by Inkosi MM Shongwe, Departments of Correctional Services, Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs, Nkomazi Local Municipality, Ehlanzeni District Municipality, Old Mutual and Forek Institute of Technology.

A kraal was rehabitated through the technical expertise of vocational learners from Forek Institute. DARDLEA provided trees and seedlings to intensify efforts to position Mahhushe as a fully fledged Agricultural Secondary School . Paroles from the Department of Correctional Services assisted in the fixing the fence and establishment of a green house nursery.

Old Mutual came on board by donating starter packs of garden tools to enable the school to improve its gardening. They also hired a company to establish the greenhouse. The activation also focused on environmental sustainability and changing weather patterns through climate change and global warming.

All schools within Ehlanzeni District participated in this campaign.
